We plan to have more events to stop you becoming bored and listless between productions, and one of the main ones is a regular monthly play reading. These are being organised with great skill and enthusiasm by Mike Newman and they are splendid fun. What we do is get together in the back room of the the Red Lion and - err - read a play. Some of us like to show off and use silly voices but this is entirely optional.
We don’t know in advance what the play will be so this adds to the overall excitement level. Why sit at home watching rubbish television when you could be doing something fun, sociable and creative? As well as being fun to do, these events will also serve as a testing ground for future productions. They are open to all members of course but if you are even vaguely thinking that you might be interested in joining the group do please come along to the Red Lion and do some play reading. You know you want to.
