HOLIDAY SNAP
Now postponed until 2009
A comedy by Michael Pertwee and John Chapman
Directed by Tony Wade
This comedy of mistaken identity unfolds as a Portugese time-share villa has been
mistakenly double-booked by two couples, Eve and Leslie and Henry and Mary. The
company rep, the short-sighted and well-lubricated retired English Commander “Chitto”
Chittenden doesn’t know. The confusion is compounded when each couple mistakes the
other for the servants.
Both couples are married, but not to each other. Henry seems to gain the upper hand
when he discovers that Eve is married, but not to Leslie. But then, his mother-in-law
arrives and he has to bribe the other couple to impersonate his own alibi, Sir Piers
and Lady Marchbanks. It looks as though he will get away with it until the real
Sir Piers arrives, followed by Henrys wife!
Following it so far? Don’t worry, you will. This is sharp, witty, quick-fire comedy
TREASURE ISLAND

- at the Queens Hall
A pantomime style adventure by John Wise
Directed by Pam Leach
Treasure Island is a buccaneering, swashbuckling, timber-shivering, mainbrace-splicing
(add pirate adjectives of your choice) comedy which has been specially written for
the group by BMTG member John Wise. John says that the production is firmly based
on the events and characters in Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island” but with
“additional characters & seafaring events”.
It will have something for everyone and contains moments of drama, comedy, pantomime
farce, slapstick, audience participation, music and songs.
